the care process, flow charting the process, developing key
measures and prioritizing opportunities for improvement. A
variety of data management tools are described to assit the
provider. A plan for intervention is presented along with
a method to evaluate the intervention.

Academic and Professional Appointments include: Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine at University of Iowa; Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology at University of Michigan; Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Currently: Director, Center for Health Care Effectiveness Research and Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center; Recent Professional Appointments include: at Henry Ford Health System - Medical Director Hospital Epidemiology, Medical Director Professional Practice Review Group, Hospital Epidemiologist, Senior Staff Physician; Internal Medicine; Infectious Diseases; Henry Ford Medical Group; Earned a Masters of Science in Preventive Medicine (Epidemiology) from University of Iowa 1985; Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Member of numerous professional organizations; state, local and national committees. Highly respected researcher with more than 70 publications in professional journals and books along with more than 100 abstracts and presentations. |
